Automobile Accidents &
Truck Collisions
Automobile collision cases usually involve claims of common law
negligence. Alabama differs from other states with respect to several
issues, including mandatory liability insurance, rights of subrogation,
medical payment coverage, Workers' Compensation benefits, contributory
negligence, the Guest Statute, and uninsured & underinsured motorist
coverage. Because of our experience in these areas, we have successfully
prosecuted hundreds of claims involving automobile negligence and ensured
that our clients have obtained maximum compensation for injuries and damages
suffered as a result of another driver's negligence.

Slip and Fall /
Premises Liability / Dog Bite Cases
According to Alabama law, landowners and businesses must keep their land
reasonably safe for intended users. As a result, grocery stores, hotels,
restaurants, homeowners, and landlord have a duty to warn their customers
and guests of dangerous conditions. In addition, dog owners have duties and
responsibilities to keep the public safe from their dogs. The Alabama
Accident Law Firm's success in pursuing claims of this type is based upon
our commitment to performing a prompt and thorough investigation of both the
premises, the specific defect, and/or the dog to ensure that we can
establish negligence.

On-the-Job Injuries
/ Workers' Compensation
When a worker has been injured in an on-the-job accident or has
contracted an occupational disease, he or she may be entitled to Workman's
Compensation benefits under Alabama law, including medical treatment, lost
wages, compensation for a permanent or partial disability, and vocational
retraining. Our firm is experienced in this highly technical area of the
law, which has become more difficult in recent years due to insurance
companies lobbying our Legislature to change the law to their benefit. We
assist injured workers in obtaining the benefits they are entitled to
receive.

Products Liability
Product manufacturers, distributors, and retailers may be liable to users
for injuries suffered because of defective products. These cases are often
overlooked because the negligence is not obvious. The negligence of a driver
hitting someone from behind is obvious. The cause of the gas tank exploding
on a minor impact is not as obvious. Product liability matters are
complicated and require the assistance of experts who can identify the
defect involved and testify about it at the time of trial. The Alabama
Accident Law Firm has the information and ability to hire the experts. We
can obtain compensation for clients who have been seriously injured by
defective products.

Medical Malpractice
These cases involve negligent conduct by health care providers, including
doctors, nurses, therapists, or other health care professionals. A majority
of the health care in Alabama is provided at an excellent level, but there
are times when those providing medical services "breach the standard of
care" generally recognized in Alabama. Such cases often result in very
serious injuries or death. The role of the Alabama Accident Law Firm is to
evaluate the negligence of the health care provider and seek maximum
monetary damages for the injuries caused by malpractice.

Pharmaceutical (Drug)
Product Injuries
The pharmaceutical industry is probably the most profitable business in
the world. The Prescription Drug User Fee Act, which allows fast track drug
approval, has added to the increasing introduction of new drugs over the
past several years. You have probably noticed the amount of advertisements
for new drugs. Many new drugs have been approved and after two or three
years of production are found to be dangerous. Those are taken off the
market by the FDA, the Food and Drug Administration, only after many people
have suffered adverse reactions or death. At the Alabama Accident Law Firm,
we are investigating cases involving Rezulin, Baycol, Phenylpropanolamine (PPA),
Celebrex, Vioxx, Arava, Serzone, Meridia, and Sulzer Orthopedic Implants.
